Tuesday Display Chain #10.....Sharing His Love

As I fill my home with the sights and sounds of Christmas
May my home and my family and my Spirit
Continue to radiate His Love

Love Is The Thread That Binds
Family and Friends

Sharing His Love

We love,  because He first loved us
I John 3:19

First love clings to your heart forever

Love is the key that opens the door
to happiness and sadness

Love is when
you don't have to be with another person
to touch their heart

Love is never having to say you are sorry

Love is Christmas Morning, forever

Love is the Rose of Sharon and the Lily of the Valley

God is Love
Whoever lives in Love, lives in God
And God in him
I John 3:16

Give Love
And it will be given to you

Today in the town of David
A Savior has been born to you
He is Christ the Lord
Luke  2:11

Glory to God in the Highest
And on earth peace to men
on whom His favor rests
Luke  2:14

Heavenly Father
Giver of all good things
I know in my heart the best gift I can give myself at Christmas
Is the gift of being open to You
Please be with me in all my shopping, all my cleaning, all my crafting
My giving and receiving
Let it be all for the sake of Your Son   Amen

Misi's Tuesday Display Chain...Favorite Hat/ Collection

Thank you Misi from 1890 Gable House Musings and Pam from Civil Folks for the great suggestion.
I know we all have a favorite hat in our collections.

This is one of my favorites.  I do not know the age but would guess early 1920's.
Brim is woven taffeta with a black silk band with bow.
The crown is beaver fur, hat is lined
This appears to be a winter hat as it is very heavy.

Another pic of my black beaver hat

This is a simple day cap, unique as the back ruffle buttons off
so you can wear it as a day cap.

Straw hat and bonnets at the cabin

My favorite prairie bonnet

Hats from my 40's and 50's collection
Mink hats and a beautiful feather hat

Love this red hat from the 50's
The white hat is a make over hat I wore as Miss McKenna
From the movie Somewhere In Time

Granddaughters Arwen and Amber  with Grandma,  Easter 2010
Grandma started a hat collection for them as well.

Christmas Decorating...Slowly getting there

A special thank you to all my prim friends
Sharing your unique creations and ideas has been such an inspiration to me
You have helped me move from Country
To the wonderful world of Prim, my kind of place

So many projects, so little time again, but what fun it is when it is done.
Here are a few pics of my dining room area.
The Buttery cabinet is not quite done so no pics of it yet.
The living room is a work in progress... oh well
It will get come together, it always does.

All Hearts

Had to keep out  my cute chickens

Found this vintage table runner at my favorite flea market
Table piece went together so fast
Just threw it all in the dough bowl and "wow", done

New prim addition this year
Use to put a topiary tree with" plastic" Xmas pics on this sewing machine cabinet
I like this much better

Love my prim Snow Lady
Bells on leather strap another FM find for 1.50

So many projects, so little time

I am burning the midnight candle again as I have so many projects and such limited time.  My retail job really cuts into my crafting hours but then again it helps fund those crafts so can't complain too much.  I have strings of cranberry's drying for garlands, one batch of orange slices are dried, Banana Nut bread is baked for Thanksgiving and on my next day off I will try making my  first Sweet Potato garland.   Special thanks to KM Primitives kmprimitives.com for her tutorial's, the orange slices were fun and easy can't wait to try the SP garland.

Every year I put together Christmas goody bags for special friends at the store (now up to 12) looks like it will be homemade Blackberry Jam with biscut fixings.  Guess I had better stock up on some more sugar!!!!  Also wanted to share a picture of a great flea market find and some sale items picked up at my local Prim Shop.

Primitive pantry jars.  These were fun to make.  Prim Labels were purchased from Blue Cupboard Primitives.    bluecupboardprimitives.blogspot.com

Here are pics of my flea market find.  This is a very unusual wooden box with a glass front door, hinged on the side and closes with a small hook.  Sits on a wooden base that is attached.  Well, since I love anything wood it just called out to me.  The inside was blank.  I thought it would make a great piece to display  something prim.  After showing husband my great find, he thought it should be made into a mantle clock, which I have also been searching for.  He took over the project, researched clock works on the web, purchased a vintage clock works and installed it inside my unusual wood box.  It is battery operated and the pendulum swings back and forth.  It looks so perfectly prim.  Oh, I forgot to mention the wooden box cost me $9.00, the clock works cost ??? husband said it was my anniversary present, what a guy.

These are my adorable sale items.
The Primitive Peddler primitivepeddler.net was having her 1/2 price sale in her shop so these cute guys came home with me.  Along with some signs and candles, it was a fun day of shopping.  Her Christmas Open House is This Sat and Sun Nov 6 and 7.  I have to work, of course, but will bee line it down there on my lunch break.

Thank you for visiting tonight, wish you all will experience the
Magic of an Ordinary Day, Prim Blessings
