Prayers for our Friends In The South

We are so Blessed today
awakened to the warm cheery rays of Sunshine
Flooding is still a major concern,
especially near the swollen streams and creeks.
Tablerock Lake is way above flood stage,
the open gates at the dam is
still creating flooding downstream,
causing many people to leave their precious homes.

We ask this morning to keep in your prayers
our beloved friends in the South,
Alabama, Mississippi, Kentucky, Georgia
Deadly tornado's have ripped through their lovely
communities leaving destruction and sadness.

Theresa over at Time Worn Interiors
and
Jen at Taylors Farmhouse Attic

Both of these wonderful blog friends have already
posted on the devastation of the tornado's
near their homes, friends and family.
I am sure there will be more.....
Our heartfelt prayers go out to all of you

May our Heavenly Father wrap
His Arms around you,
May His unending Love comfort you
May His strength give you courage
We ask this in your Holy Precious Name.  Amen

I am the  light of the world
Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness
But will have the light of life

Who Will Stop The "Rain"

Long as I remember
The rain has been falling down
And I wonder, Still I wonder
Who'll stop the "Rain"

6 days of rain in Southwest Missouri
10 inches and counting....
Sun came out this afternoon and we thought it was over
Not so, it is storming again this evening
and the rain is "falling down"....

We are safe but others are not so fortunate.
Here are pics of the flooding in our area

Docks and boat slips on Tablerock Lake

 Branson, Missouri
Missouri rain keeps falling down
And up ahead is another town
I'll go walking through
With the rain in my shoes
Searching for you
in the cold Missouri "Rain"

Keep all of us in your prayers
I know rain is a blessing
I think we have been blessed plenty enough.

Sunday's Message...You Never Walk Alone

You'll Never Walk Alone
When you walk through a storm
Hold your head up high
And don't be afraid of the dark
At the end of the storm
Is a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of a lark
Walk on through the wind
Walk on through the rain
Tho' your dreams be tossed and blown
Walk On .... Walk On
With hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone
You'll never walk alone.....
                                                                                   Rogers and Hammerstein
Do not be discouraged
For the Lord you God
Will be with you wherever you go

Surprise Package and Free Photos Blog

Good morning family and friends
What a beautiful morning it is...
birds are cooing
sun is warming the soil
new spring blossoms
are putting a smile on my face....

I have 2 things to share today
I received a surprise package from Brenda over at The Rusty Thimble
Brenda is a talented artist, she is always creating
adorable prim items for us to purchase on her blog.
Brenda treasures her followers, she is generous, with a warm heart
every month thanking her friends with lovely handmade giveaway's.

Brenda sent me one of her "new creations"
Morning Dove bird sitting on a wood thread spool.
Rusty wire with bells round the neck and look at those cute wings
made out of a piece of crochet doily.

Handmade ditty bag with vintage photo attached
tucked inside was some Sweet Annie.

A vintage doily primmed to perfection
and a "old" cheese box with great patina.

I put the little cheese box on my Buttery
tucked inside a blackened wax Bunny
and mini pillow tucks
I set this adorable Morning Dove on prim doily
with my Box and Baskets display
tucked in a hummingbird's nest as well
I then leaned the prim ditty bag on an old apple basket
with rusty chick feeder filled with candles.
Thank You Brenda

I want to share a Blog that offers free photos
I found these while searching on Scraps With Mary
Mary is my Sister, lives in Wisconsin and has been scrap booking for years
She just started blogging in February.
Stop by and visit her blog

Here
is the terrific blog I found with the free photos
Blanca is her name
Her photos are breathtaking
How neat it was to find this while shearching my little Sis's blog

Thank you again to Brenda
Hugs to my sister Mary
Prim Blessings to you all
Thank You
for visiting today....

Thrift Store Finds....In Branson, MO

Looks like everyone is finding some great Thrift Store items.
I went to Branson, MO (Music Capital USA) to take in a show
but got side tracked,
found three Thrift Stores all in the same block.
Most people go to Branson to take in the shows and shop the outlet malls.

Humane Society, Salvation Army and Boys & Girls Club Thrift Shops
is where you will find me, what a fun time.
Here are some of the goods that came home with me.

Lots of crocks, bottles, wood bowls
wood hanging rack and a cross stitch picture

Another cute wood cabinet with drawers
three wood candle holders ready for paint
vintage stitchery dated 1953...love this...

"wow" a chalkboard, I have wanted one of these
sculpted fabric picture on the top from 1986
think I will replace this with a vintage quilt piece or a mirror
PLUS
Wood spice rack with all 12 spice bottles with labels in tack
I know Tonya would really like this...lol
Tonight I sanded all the wood items, except for the spice rack,
they are ready for paint....and priming.

Cassandre
The Voice Of An Angel
What an excellent musical show
Cassandre's voice truly sounds like an Angel
Click on  Cassandre above to hear her sweet voice.
I use to work in Branson,  35 minutes away
I sometimes miss the glamor and the wonderful talent
but not the "traffic"

As always,
Thank you for visiting,
May the Voice of the Angels fill you with Peace....

Experience His Beauty

Through His power all things were made...
things in heaven and on earth
things seen and unseen
                          Colossians 1:16

When you see the beauty around you...
let each detail remind you...
to lift your head in Praise!

Peace Be With You
