Prayers for Missouri Tornado Victims

Sunday May 22, 2011
A devastating tornado  sweep thru Joplin, Mo
60 miles from my home in Crane.

As of today, Monday, 116 lost souls, 1200 injured, some are still missing.

Mr B and myself were traveling home from Branson
Sunday evening after attending our Grand daughters First Communion.
A very blessed day soon turned into tradgey.

A very frightening moment as we met the wrath of this storm,
We were trying to beat the storm and were only about 5 minutes from home,
when we hit the black wall of wind....
My silent prayers soon turned into verbal Hail Mary's and Our Father's.
Next came the white wall of blinding rain and hail....
Our little Toyota had the arms of The Heavenly Father wrapped around it
as we speed to safety....

All your prayers are needed for the families that have lost
their home, their place of employment and most of all their love ones.

My infant department in Walmart today was almost completely
sold out of diapers, bottles, formula and clothing.
Churches and organizations are buying supply's for the victims...
I helped men who have never been in an infant department pick out
diapers, wipes, formula and baby cereal.
They kept asking me what else do I need to send....
Thank You Kind Neighbors....

Dear Heavenly Father I come before you this evening
thanking you for all the blessings of this day.
I ask you dear Father to comfort your children in Joplin,
Give them strength and courage,
Shelter them from this cold rainy  night,
Bring peace into their hearts,
as they face another day may they feel Your Love.
I ask this in Your Holy precious Name, I pray.  Amen

  3. So much devastation this Spring with so many storms hitting everywhere. Prayers have and will continue to go up for all those people affected by the storms. So glad you and Hubby were protected. These pictures just seem to be a repeat of the torndoes that hit here a few weeks back. We need not to forget this people as they will need our prayers and support for a long time to come. Have a great day.

  5. Very devastating, the pictures seem so surreal. I'm glad you and your husband made it home safe. My 10 year old went to Eureka Springs with her grandparents and they saw the black clouds on the way home, they were ahead of the storm. Our thoughts and prayers are going out to Joplin.
