Pay It Forward

~~~~~Paying It Forward~~~~~
What an amazing movie that is!
What a great way to share our Blessings with others!
Pay It forward!!!
I read about this fun idea from Tonya over at
and decided to join in and make someone's day a little brighter
by Paying It Forward
Here is how it works~~~~
The first five people who comment on this blog post will receive a handmade gift from me
Here is the fine print
In return you must write a blog post explaining Pay It Forward 2011
Then....send out a gift (handmade not necessary, just something special)
to the first 5 visitors who leave a comment on your post.
Take your time....you don't need to send them all today or tomorrow.
This is a sweet way to connect with old friends or meet new ones
by sharing things we create with our hearts,
a special way of saying, I am thinking of you
It is not the size of the gift that matters
but rather the Spirit of Paying It Forward.
To the first five who want to participate
please email me your name and mailing address
my email is  gfever3@yahoo.com
Changing the Rules
Because I have less than 50 followers
Because most of my follwers are already participating
Because I know Tonya will send me something awesome
Because this is about putting a smile on your face
And warming my heart
~~~~~To the first five people to comment on this post~~~~~
letting me know which one of my posts is your favorite
Will receive a special handmade gift
As a thank you for reading this entire post
and a thank you for following my blog

No Strings Attached
** Remember to email your address

Spring Is In The Air....

March went out like a Lion
A whipping up the water in the Bay
Then April cried and stepped aside
And along came pretty little May
                                       Carousel  (Rogers & Hammerstein)

Signs of Spring
Spring is sweet smell of lilacs
and
singing robin's

Spring is peeping baby chicks
and
proud mama hens

Spring is raindrops on roses
and
running thru clover

Spring is iris's in bloom

Spring is new baby lambs
and
new baby kittens

Spring is fresh cut grass
and
Grandma's fun bonnets

Let the March winds blow
That wonderful season called "Spring"
Blow into our hearts
And fill it with
"Blossoms of Love"

My Blossoms OF Love

May the warm rays of Sunshine
Renew our Spirit
Fuel our Dreams
Fill our Hearts
With Peace, Love and Joy

Prim Blessings to all my family and friends

Primitive Make Overs.....Candle Sconce

I had so much fun doing these make overs and just love their new  primitive look.  A huge thank you to Tonya  over at My Primitive Creations by Tonya.  This amazing, talented lady has been tutoring me on how to turn wood items into beautiful primitive treasures.  These candle scones are my first attempt.  Tonya has just posted a tutorial on her blog, detailed instructions on how to achieve this primitive look.  Thank you Tonya for sharing your knowledge.

Before Photos
Wood candle scones found at my fav flea market
Purchased 7 of them for 1.00 each

After Pics
Using Tonya's Priming method
I do need a little more practice on sanding the piece after it is painted.
I think I put too much paint on so therefore it took longer to
sand off the paint.  Also have to remember to sand
with the grain to achieve a natural look.  I got better at  it.....

I added a vintage table napkin to soften the look

Another sconce sits inside a primitive blue box
The flicker candle is placed behind the sconce
A cute grubby beeswax bunny in a jar lid

Fun Stuff
Fell in love with these blackened beeswax ornies
Purchased them off Ebay,  they smell so prim
Lamb with rusty bell
Another bunny in old jar lid

Table Display
Lovely Miss Swan perched in a dough bowl
.....Mr. Bunny decided to move it
Who are you

Paper mache rabbits hopped on over for a look see

Miss Whiskers looks a little lonely
Sitting all by herself in her crate

 Who are you----Where did you come from

 I'll share my carrot if you let me stay
Oh my, oh dear......OK

Thank you for visiting today
I have to get back to my sanding projects
Prim Blessings
